Annual PowerOcean service

Module-by-module health check

Each PowerOcean 5 kWh module reports state-of-health (SoH) independently. We pull readings via the EcoFlow PowerInsight portal and flag any module below 85% capacity.

15-year warranty file refresh

EcoFlow's 15-year warranty (longest in the UK market) requires the install to remain on the registered system. We re-confirm registration annually so any claim is fast.

IP65 outdoor enclosure inspection

PowerOcean modules live outdoors. Annual visual check for cabinet integrity, rubber seal condition, ventilation cleanliness, and rodent/insect intrusion.

Inverter firmware verification

EcoFlow pushes firmware to the connected inverter (typically SolarEdge, GoodWe, or Solis). We confirm latest firmware applied.

Tariff schedule audit

EcoFlow PowerInsight allows manual time-of-use scheduling. We audit your schedule against your Octopus / OVO / EDF tariff to ensure cheap-rate charging is firing.

Modular expansion assessment

If you started at 5 kWh, we model the financial case for adding modules. Adding a 5 kWh module to an existing PowerOcean costs £1,400–£1,800 fitted vs starting fresh.

EPS backup test

PowerOcean's Emergency Power Supply (EPS) auto-switches in 20ms during outages. Annual functional test.

PowerInsight app + connectivity

Verify cellular/Wi-Fi data flow. Investigate any data gaps in the historical chart.

Does EcoFlow PowerOcean need maintenance?

Less than most batteries — modular LFP design with no thermal runaway risk. But annual checks catch warranty-relevant issues early (module SoH below 85%, seal degradation, firmware behind), and the 15-year warranty requires registered install records to be kept current.

What's the warranty?

15 years to 70% retained capacity — the longest in the UK home battery market. Covers cells, electronics, inverter, and IP enclosure.

Can SMS service PowerOcean if you didn't install it?

Yes — we're an authorised UK EcoFlow dealer with full PowerInsight portal access. About 30% of our PowerOcean maintenance work is on units installed by other dealers.

How much does annual PowerOcean maintenance cost?

£149 standalone. £249/year bundle covers solar + battery + EV charger annual servicing with 48-hour fault response SLA.

What if a module fails?

EcoFlow ships replacement modules under warranty within 4–6 weeks. We coordinate the swap (which is plug-and-play — the system rebalances automatically once the new module is online).

Can I expand my PowerOcean to a larger system?

Yes — modular expansion in 5 kWh increments. Existing system rebalances automatically. We model whether expansion makes financial sense vs adding a separate battery (depends on your tariff and self-consumption pattern).
