The Challenge

City centre roof access challenging, planning required due to listed-building neighbour, and roof had asbestos cement panels needing replacement before solar.

Our Solution

Phased approach: roof replacement and asbestos disposal first (in-house roofers), then 18 kWp install with optimisers on every shaded panel. Aurora simulation included a roof shading analysis from a neighbouring spire.

The Result

18 kWp generating 16,800 kWh/year first year. 70% self-consumption (high during business hours). Featured in Northern Quarter media as a sustainability story.
