In the UK, once a year is generally sufficient. If you're near trees, farmland, seagull nesting areas, or a motorway, twice a year is worthwhile. Our annual plan (£149–£249/year) includes two visits.
Can I clean solar panels myself?
With the right equipment and safe access, yes. Use de-ionised water and a soft brush — no abrasives, no chemicals, no pressure washers above 300 psi (which can delaminate panel edges). For sloped roofs, professional access is much safer.
How much output do dirty panels lose?
A light film of dust reduces output ~5%. Heavy bird fouling can reduce 20–30% on affected panels. Moss growth blocks cells entirely. Annual cleaning in the UK typically recovers 8–15% lost yield.
