Boiler Upgrade Scheme 2026
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is the UK government's replacement for the Renewable Heat Incentive — £7,500 toward an air source heat pump (ASHP) or ground source heat pump (GSHP) install. We're MCS-certified for both, and we pre-deduct the grant from your quote.
£7,500 toward an ASHP or GSHP install. £5,000 cap for biomass boilers. Grant funded by Ofgem, paid to installer; you pay the post-grant balance.

How the application works
01
EPC + property check
We confirm EPC validity and any outstanding insulation recommendations. Most properties qualify; some need cavity wall or loft top-up first.
02
Heat loss survey
Free heat loss calc per MCS standard. Determines correct heat pump kW size for your property.
03
BUS application
We submit to Ofgem on your behalf. Voucher issued within 2 weeks.
04
Install
5–10 day install for ASHP, 10–20 days for GSHP including ground works. Hot water cylinder + radiator upgrades as needed.
05
Voucher redemption
We claim £7,500 from Ofgem post-install; you pay only the post-grant balance.
