The Challenge
A logistics warehouse in Leeds covering 4,000 square metres was facing electricity costs of over £45,000 annually. The flat roof was ideal for solar but the business needed the installation completed during a scheduled two-week shutdown to avoid operational disruption.
Our Solution
Our commercial team designed a 120kW rooftop array using 288 high-efficiency panels with ballasted mounting frames suitable for the flat roof membrane. The installation was completed in 10 working days during the shutdown period. A commercial-grade monitoring system provides real-time generation data to the facilities manager.
The Results
The system generates approximately 96,000 kWh per year, covering over 50% of the warehouse's electricity needs. Annual savings of £24,000 give a payback period of 6.1 years.
